I completed my primary and secondary educations in my hometown, Seydişehir, and then I came to Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences to complete my undergraduate education in Astronomy & Mathematics. At the end of my fourth year, I graduated in June and then I completed my graduate studies and my doctorate as a research assistant in the same department. I prepared my master thesis entitled “The Spectral Analysis of Optical and Ultraviolet Spectra of X Persei” under the management of Prof. Dr. Semanur Engin (Ankara University, emeritus) and I worked my doctoral thesis entitled “The Spectral Analyses of 4 Lac and nu Cep Stars” under the co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Saul J. Adelman (Charleston, United States of America). Then I continued working at Ankara University as an assistant professor.

In 1996, I made a scientific visit for four months to Bamberg, Germany, with the scholarship granted by Dr. Remeis Observatory. In the year 2010, I went to the Trieste Observatory within the framework of the “Post-Doctoral Research Scholarship of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK)” and made some scientific studies on the spectral examination of stars with the model atmospheres method, under the consultancy of Dr. Fiorella Castelli. As a result of the examination made by the Interuniversity Council, I received the title of associate professor in the year 2012. I am still working as an associate professor in Ankara University.

I became a member of the Turkish Astronomy Association in 1997 and a member of the International Astronomy Union in 2009. I worked as a member of the Board of Directors at the Turkish Astronomy Association between September 2008-2014 for three terms. I made some stellar photometric observations thanks to the opportunities granted by Ankara University Observatory while I gained some experience in the field of spectral observation thanks to the opportunities granted by TÜBİTAK National Observatory. In almost all my studies, I studied the observed photometric data and spectral data. During the studies that I conducted at TÜBİTAK National Observatory, I have determined and recorded that stellar spectra might be used in chemical abundance analysis. I continue my studies in this field by developing them with the electromagnetic synthetic analysis method.
